Today is the last day of Peach Week! I’m kind of sad that it is over!  But who can really be sad on a Friday?

Also, if everything goes as planned (I am writing this a day early!) I will officially be a homeowner today!  That is right, Chris and I will have settled on our new house and we should be busy stripping wall paper and tearing down walls. 

And after the stressful time that home buying is, I definitely need a drink!

Peach Basil Mojitos

makes 1 serving

  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 3 large basil leaves
  • ice cubes (about 1 cup)
  • 1 shot rum (1 1/2 oz)
  • 1/3 cup peach puree (about 1 peach)
  • 1/2 cup club soda


  1. Place sugar and basil leaves n a large glass.  Muddle (crush) the sugar and basil together to release the basil flavor and break it into small pieces.
  2. Add ice to glass. 
  3. Stir in rum and peach puree.  Continue to stir until sugar has dissolved.
  4. Add club soda right before serving.
