Rainbow Fruit Salad

Hello, friends!

Sorry for the unexpected hiatus.  You know, life and stuff.  It gets in the way sometimes.  Anyhow, I am back with some new, fun recipes and dishes.  I’ll try not to let that happen again.

Today, I just have a simple fruit salad to share with you.  The twist on this dish is the way this salad is arranged.  Normally, fruit salad is all mixed up in a bowl, all the fruits mixing and touching.

This makes it really hard for people like me to avoid the cantaloupe and its juice.  Personally, I can do with out the ‘loupe.  But I know that lots of people enjoy it, so I can’t just leave it out.

Arranging your fruit salad like this not only looks pretty, but it also lets people choose which kinds of fruit to put on their plates and lets them avoid the ones they don’t really care for!

To make this salad, just choose a variety of colors of fruits.  Try to cover the whole ROYGBIV spectrum, and arrange them in that order.

R: Red-strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, etc.

O: Orange-oranges, cantaloupe, tangerines, peaches, etc.

Y: Yellow: pineapple, banana, etc.

G: Green-honey dew melon, kiwis, etc.

B: Blue-blueberries, and that’s it? ha

I/V: Indigo/Violet: plums, grapes, etc.

Have fun with this and pick whatever fruits you like the best.  Taste the rainbow 😉
